HOMES
SHAPED BY THE PLACES
THEY BELONG TO

Our homes draw from the enduring character of New England: timeless, welcoming, and deeply connected to their surroundings.

Through thoughtful siting, carefully composed spaces, natural materials, and rigorous technical design, we create homes that capture light, frame meaningful views, and support the way each family wants to live.

The result is architecture that feels contemporary yet lasting, designed with the beauty, resilience, and attention required to endure for generations.

New England heritage. European contemporary restraint, exceptional American craftsmanship

craft

Beauty is felt in the whole house, and in every detail.

Materials, proportions, transitions, and details shape how a home is experienced each day.

A carefully positioned window brings morning light into a favorite room.

A precisely proportioned opening creates an effortless connection between the kitchen, terrace, and garden.

Natural materials give the house warmth while allowing it to age gracefully within the landscape.

Technical
Integrity

What is beautiful must also endure.

New England homes must withstand wind, salt air, rain, snow, temperature changes, and decades of daily use. We study how materials meet, how water is managed, how the building enclosure performs, and how each architectural idea can be constructed without compromising its clarity.

Precise drawings and coordinated details give builders the information they need, reduce uncertainty during construction, and protect the design from being weakened by avoidable improvisation.

We remain closely involved from the first sketch through construction.

The quality of a home is determined not only by the original design, but also by hundreds of decisions made while it is being built.

We work closely with the builder, consultants, craftspeople, and client throughout construction.

We review critical details, respond to field conditions, clarify design intent, and help resolve questions before they become costly problems.

Our continued involvement gives the client an experienced architectural advocate throughout the process and helps ensure that the finished home reflects the care and precision of the original vision.

Collaboration

Your home begins with your life, not with a predetermined style. We begin by listening carefully.

We want to understand how you live, what you value, how you gather, where you seek privacy, what landscapes you love, and how you imagine the home supporting your family over time.

Those conversations become the foundation for the design. We translate them into spaces, proportions, materials, and relationships that are uniquely yours.

As the design develops, we guide you through clear decisions, test ideas against budget and constructability, and bring the experience of builders and consultants into the process at the appropriate moments.

The architect provides leadership and technical clarity, but the home is created through a genuine partnership.

Your priorities remain present in every important decision.

The Studio

Seapoint Studio is a residential architecture and design practice working throughout coastal New England, from the granite shoreline of Down East Maine to Cape Cod, the islands, and the salt ponds of southern Rhode Island.

We keep the studio intentionally small and accept a limited number of commissions each year. This allows the principals to remain personally involved throughout every project, from the earliest conversations to the final stages of construction.

Our work combines design sensitivity, building enclosure knowledge, and extensive project delivery experience. We understand that creating an exceptional home requires more than an inspiring concept. It requires clear leadership, careful coordination, informed decisions, and sustained attention throughout the entire process.

We also value the knowledge of the builders, craftspeople, engineers, and landscape professionals with whom we collaborate. The strongest homes emerge when design vision and construction expertise are brought together with mutual respect.

At Seapoint Studio, imagery is an important part of exploring and communicating architectural ideas. Some images presented on this website may incorporate AI assisted visualization, digital rendering, or image enhancement as part of the creative process.

These tools allow us to study atmosphere, material, light, landscape, and the experience of a space as architectural ideas develop. They support the design process, but they do not replace it.

The architecture, design direction, and creative judgment behind our work remain our own, shaped by experience, place, and the principles that define Seapoint Studio.

Begin a conversation.

Creating a home begins with understanding the land, the possibilities, and the life you hope to build there.

We welcome conversations with clients considering a new home, a substantial renovation, or the transformation of an existing property in New England.
